Strategic Consulting, Elevated

James Stoddard is a growth-focused technology executive, software architect, and mechanical engineer with more than three decades of experience building commercially successful software solutions. Over a distinguished 27-year tenure with Sigmetrix, he played a pivotal role in scaling the company from a startup to a $10M globally recognized technology leader.

James started his career as a software developer and then quickly transitioned into key executive roles, including VP of Product Development, CTO, and eventually CEO, where he served for 7 years. Through his tenure in these roles, James helped guide Sigmetrix from a single-product company into a diversified, multi-product global enterprise.

As a champion of strategic alliances, James spearheaded critical integrations and partnerships with industry giants such as PTC, Dassault Systèmes, Siemens, and Autodesk to expand the company's global footprint. He not only internally built and mentored highly collaborative, cross-functional engineering teams, but he also deployed an outsourced development strategy to expand capacity while maintaining desired profit margins.

Throughout his career, James has combined technical excellence with a collaborative, root-cause-driven leadership philosophy focused on solving real problems instead of symptoms. His strategic executive perspective has been further refined through his long-standing active participation in Vistage Worldwide, a global peer advisory organization for executives.

James was a member of the founding team that launched Sigmetrix in 1999, where he helped design the foundational architecture for the company’s flagship platform, CETOL. By aligning sophisticated computational mathematics with practical usability and long-term business strategy, James has consistently delivered sustained organizational growth and meaningful industry impact.

He began his professional journey at Texas Instruments and Raytheon, developing and refining complex software solutions within a defense systems context. James earned both his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, where his graduate research in characterizing kinematic variation in assemblies from geometric constraints laid the foundation for his career in advanced variation analysis.
